Spotting Scope Recommendation

Under $1500, can you buy a good spotting scope with the 90 degree eye piece? If so, any suggestions on make and model? Practical use is a few weeks a year for a western deer/elk hunt and maybe to look at the targets while shooting.

If you're ok with used, the vortex razor 20-60x85 can be found for around $700. You could probably find a used 65mm Swarovski in the $1500 range.

I do not understand where you live or the Shooting Sports YOU might have been in, or COULD.

Possibly attend an NRA High Power Rifle National or State Championship Match and someone will be selling such Optics.

Maybe its more of a 45 degree?? The kind that you look down into rather than straight on. Some the eye piece is horizontal and others it is vertical.

most people just refer to that as an angled eyepiece. if you watch some classifieds you could pick up a used swarovski ats 65mm spotter for around 1500. or what was already mentioned, the vortex razor spotter is a good option, though not the top of the line spotter on the market.

a Kowa TSN-663M would work perfectly. You can pick em up new for 1300.

FYI, there is a Vortex 20x60x85 on the classifieds on this site for $690. I just bought this same scope last year. Seems like a decent scope. Pretty popular around here for the price. Good luck!
