Spotting Scope Power question

Another question for you guys who have experience using spotters to hunt with. Would you recomend the 20-60 power, or do you think the 16-48 would be sufficient?

The issue is that I can go with a 16-48x65mm and have the same relative brightness as a 20-60x82mm and the scope is smaller which will be better for packing, but I don't want to give up the extra 12x if it seems likely that I will find myself wanting it in the field.

Thank you for your help.

Steve

Most of the time conditions aren't ideal and anything over about 25x is useless anyway, so I'd go with the 16-48. I can't imagine ever needing more than 48x.

There have been very few times that I have used over 50X with much luck. It does happen, but not very often. I haven't kept track, but I would say I use around 30X most often. That is well within either of the choices.

Thank you very much. I have not determined which one I want to get. Leaning towards to 65, but not sure.
