I am having a hard time trying to decide between the hunter hoggit or the new 7 pin sight. How important is the 3rd axis? Is it worth spending the extra money for? Both sight's are awsome and was just wondering who here at monster muleys uses the sight's and why they choose the sight they did. Thank's Bruce.

Hey Bruce. I just ordered the "7 Deadly Pins" but have been using the "Real Deal" for a year or so and have really liked it.

I have the 7 Deadly Pins and love it!!!!!! I just wish they would come out with 10.

Im not familiar with the new hoggit but i do have the Montana Black Gold Dusk Devil and it has worked well for me especially in low light. The third axis is definitely worth the $$$ because It tells you if something is not right in your form.

I have the Hogg-it and wouldn't trade it for it's weight in gold. Yeah they are more money but you get what you pay for. I had a Trophy ridge for about 3 yrs and the housing warped. That really burnt me. I love the all metal construction and once it's dialed in it really is a spott hogg.
Aim small miss small.

I have a real-deal and really like it, although I do have a small problem. I have the vertical adjustment as low as it can go, but my 50yd pin is right on at 45 and my 40 is right on at 35 etc. I would really like to have my fifth pin at 55 rather than 45 yards, is there any way I can do this? My pins are all spaced the same distance apart and are straight out.

Thank's for all your replys. I went with the 7 pin and love it so far. Thank's, bruce

Move your peepsight up until you reach your desired range. It only takes a small amount, one quarter to one half inch. That small adjustment is hardly noticeable. After a few practice sessions you will become accustomed to the adjustment.

Good Luck,

Mark

I have a real deal and when shooting from a treestand the level is wrong, meaning my 3rd axis is off. In the stand, when the bubble is level, I am hitting 3-4 in. to the right at 20 yds. So, I'm canting to the right to get the level centered. About now, I am wishing I bought the Hogg-it or Hunter for the 3rd axis adjustment. I thought 3rd axis was a gimick...until now.
