That little warning on your arrows takes a little better meaning after seeing or experiencing an arrow blow up. One of my hunting partners found an arrow in his quiver with a small crack so he was going to send it off into the wild blue yonder. Well it only made it to the grip of his bow. He filled his entire hand with carbon fibers, he had to go in and have extensive surgery to remove the hundreds of slivers. His had will never be the same.

Don't shoot damaged arrows, this can happen to you.
 
I've heard about these before, but I've never actually seen it. Ugly mess is all I can say :(

It also seems to happen most often with that particular brand of carbon arrows for some reason.

Please take that pic away. Just the thought of the bow going off and that happening makes my stomach turn. Ed F
