I am heading out on a WY speedgoat hunt this week, can anyone tell me how many inches it is from the top of the back to the bottom of the sternum of a average buck?? Would like to know for use as a shooting reference. Thanks

From some old notes I have it stated that the average from shoulder to feet was 35-41" and brisket-shoulder was 14". How true I don't know and never even bothered to measure mine last week that I got is Wyo. Good luck on your hunt.

Not a very big target, huh. I think the 25-06 will up to the challenge.

RELH says that the 25-06 is the perfect caliber for Lopes and deer, I too plan on getting one soon.
