Looking to hunt antelope out by Laramie, Is it draw only? If so how long to take to draw Non res? Want it to be archery, Or is it OTC? Hows public access?

All antelope are drawn for by applying for a certain unit and it takes a certain number of Preference Points to draw a tag depending on the unit you put in for. Without knowing the exact unit you want to hunt and just saying "out by Laramie" it's impossible to make any comments about public access. The tag you would draw is for any legal weapon and by buying a $30 archery permit you can also hunt the early seasons that start in August or September with a bow or crossbow. If you don't fill the tag, you can then hunt the later seasons that are mostly in October. A PP for antelope is $30 and you can buy one a year between 7/1 and 10/31 and that PP is good for the draw the following year. Log on to the G&F website and take a few hours to go over everything , as it will answer a lot of questions you will have.

Not alot of public land around Laramie but some state sections and HMA's and walkins. Few antelope on the edge of NF.With no PP your odds are slim. We hunt around town almost every year with mixed results, doe are much easier to find. HMA's get hit hard opening week.
