Never have been to Alaska before, I sure hope to change that soon. I was thinking, does Alaska have mule deer or whitetail? I know they have black tail but I never hear about anything else. Same question as to elk?

There are Roosevelt elk down in the SE. I think the only deer hunting season is for Blacktail. I seem to remember reports of a few whitetail venturing in from Canada, but I don't think a population is established.
