For those of you who have hunted, or plan on hunting this area, it looks like some pretty major changes are going to happen. Here are a few of them. It looks like most of Knight Ridge is gone..Game and Fish cannot compete with what the Outfitters are offering to pay the land owners. A little further away, the Bear River Divide is probably no longer going to be unlimited access, where all that was needed was to apply and print a trespass form. It looks as if this one is going into a limited draw, and like Medicine Butte, you will have to choose whether you want to hunt the first 1/2 of the hunt, or the second 1/2. The next one will make most non-owners of 4-wheelers, side by sides, etc., happy, and most owners very ticked off. If you draw out for and plan to hunt Bear River Divide, then you will have to leave your 4-wheeler type toys at home, or find a place to leave them before entering the area. You cannot even have one in the back of your truck! This new rule is at the request of the land owners. Thanks to "some" who have to keep pushing a little further, new trails and roads, and damage has been popping up all over the place. In order to keep Bear River Divide open for hunting, this is what it has come to. The way its going, we common folk, general public, will soon have very limited access to areas that have been traditionally open to all.
