Southern Utah Deer Herd

I grew up in the St. George area and hunted all over southern Utah. Several years ago I moved for the military and haven't had the opportunity to go "home" and do much scouting. This year I am taking leave to spend some time bowhunting around St. George. In the past I always knew where the deer herds were this time of year, but I haven't a clue now because I am so far away. Can anyone familiar with the Southern Utah area give me any tips on where to find the deer this weekend. I am excited just to be able to hunt again after spending the last couple of years serving my country around the world. Any help would be grateful. Best of luck to all you archery hunters!

wish I could help ya. Are you hunting Pine Valley? My family is from Cedar. I will be huntin South eastern region. Did you know a David Guyman? Good Luck

Try horse Valley north/west of panituch lake. It's a great area and you will have the chance to see a few nice ones. a couple of spots, another area is the Haycock creek area, a really good spot if the hillside above the fields by parowan(old Dunmp area) there you can glass the deer leaving the field A:M and setup above them on a trail they are traveling. In the evening you glass you uphill and then try and see where they are coming down and try and set up in front of them in the sage brush, use to work great for us (4 guys) Good luck
