Congratulation to Dave Koch on his first sheep, a heavily broomed 9 1/2 year old South San Rafael ram that he took this past weekend in a wind storm. He's now hooked on sheep hunting.

Good looking ram. Do you know what the bases measured? Looks pretty heavy. Is it common to have desert bighorns with a dark coat of hair like that? How was the quality of the hunt? If I'm not mistaken that is one of the units where sheep are a little easier to locate.
