South Dakota deer hunting?

anybody ever hunt SD and could offer me some direction where to start looking thanx

The Blackhills are full of whitetails...

Lived/worked up there for over a year. SD has lots of deer and pretty easy to draw whitetail tags in the west river units. Last winter the deer in the northwestern units got hit hard with the bad winter, not as many deer this year but still there. Private land access in the better spots is difficult and the public land gets hunted pretty hard. I'm looking at either Fall River, Jackson, or Perkins Counties. It's a matter of drawing/buying a tag and spending several years to figure it out.

Get a map of the walk-in area,s it will help ya find some out of the way spots too. West River is the one you can draw or the Black Hills.

With the weather they're having now I'm willing to bet they get hammered this yr as well...
