South Africa Hunt trade for Muley or Elk Hunt

This hunt includes daily rates, guiding, lodging accommodation, meals, drinks, and field preparation of animals taken. Also included is $1000 towards trophy fees per hunter.

Not included are trophy fees for animals taken per trophy fee list, taxidermy, shipping, and airfare. This hunt can be taken in 2009 or 2010.

For what you describe, each hunter (if they take an average number of animals) would have to pull out his checkbook to the tune of at least $5-10,000 for trophy fees and that does not include airfare. You did mention this, but just wanted to be sure prospective swappers understand this. If they do and are interested, go for it.

You were not the smartest kid in class were you? Just like a Texan to talk about stuff he has not clue about.

If you do the math you can see each hunter has $1000. in trophy fees. Each hunter does not have to pay the $350. dollar a day guide, food, lodging, or drinking costs. Therefore you take four hunters with a $1000. troophy fee that equals $4000. Now lets do this math, 4 hunters for 10 days at $350. fee that equals $14,000. Now add the $4000 trophy fee and the guide fee of $14,000. you have $18,000. Also you can take 4 nonhunters wiht no fee and most Africa hunts that cost alone is $150. for the food etc.

Talk about something you know about not something you have no clue. You save a ton on this hunt let me know if you can find this hunt without the above costs. All you pay is trophy fees not any of the above fees which a normal hunter would have to pay if they went on the hunt. Also what are you the MM police.

But I was also at a RMEF banquet (I am a committee member) where a guy bought a hunt as you described, and then he realized that he would still have to come up with another $5-6,000 to actually kill a decent number of animals. He was pretty upset when he realized and we ended up giving his money back to him.

My only purpose is full disclosure. He seemed like a smart guy too and the info on the "trophy fees" were there in black and white, but somehow he missed it. That experince is why I posted.

Certainly for nonhunters, this would be a SWEET deal. And I must admit, that when I posted the first time, I DID miss the $1000 trophy fees included. That was a sloppy oversight. Sorry!

And I have never been to Africa, but have a good friend that went last year, took 6 animals, including a Kudo and spent $4500 total out of pocket (excluding gettting there). But it did include lodging, guiding, AND animals.

Sorry, in addition to being valdictorian, I was also hall monitor...lol, just kidding (about the hall monitor).

I hope you find someone to swap with! Probably should have just passed it by, but the deal at the RMEF made me post.

Im not a Texan,and i have been to Africa.
So i know there are a lot more costs and fees than what you are adding.Sorry, but thats not that great a great deal...
And yes, buyer beware cause you can find package deals much cheaper.

Don't know where you are from Bigbone down but if you are interested in trying to unload this so called great deal I would suggest you try to be more friendly and not such an arse. I do take offense to your remarks about Texans and as far as I am concerned you can take your big bone and put it where the sun don't shine.
