During the COVID pandemic and lockdown, German zookeepers noted that many of the animals seemed depressed and no longer left their dens. The lockdown meant no one visiting them, no children and no adults.

The zookeeper at the zoo in Cologne (Germany) had an idea. He arranged for a pianist to come to the zoo and play for the animals. The pianist composed a musical piece specifically for the zoo animals.

The video shows what happened when the animals heard the piano music:

As a kid I read 'Outdoor Life' a lot. I remember a story about a classic violinist who tried this in either Alaska or the Yukon.

A bull moose charged his tent and gored him to death.

Hummmm. Deer season is almost here. I wonder if a harmonica would work?
Only if you know how to play "Love is a Song" from Bambi.
