way to go oneguy!

sounds/looks like you may have burned more calories and gas than usual for your antler output. don't feel bad, it's going to be a tough year for everyone around here!

good luck from here on out!

Hear ya on that Berto! Stuck at 10 deer sheds so far. Hunted hard Fri.,Sat.,Sun...only got 3. Tired of hiking my a$$ off with nothing to show for it so I started using the quad more and seem to be getting a couple more?????

oneguy,

i hate to admit this, but i sunk so low as to look for whitey sheds weekend before last...shhhhh, i don't want anyone else to know i have committed such a crime!

actually, i took my oldest (6 year old) and three of her local cousins (ages 6-9) to a little place i know near the house and in a couple hours we scraped up a white 3-pt from last year and a brown 4-pt from this year...you shoulda seen the smiles on their faces! i guarantee they won't forget that day anytime soon since this little spot is pretty darn close to both our house and the cousin's so the kiddos see it everyday :)

LAST EDITED ON Mar-07-05 AT 07:46PM (MST)[p]That's pretty funny! Glad ya got the kids all excited. I was out looking for ANYTHING again today....hunted hard..quadded for about 15mi. up into what little snow there is...couldn't find anything so I parked at a gate and hiked another 4 mi....nothing...saw 1 whitetail boil over the bank......gotta luv it!

Gonna try and head up into that draw that's behind the quad in the pic tomarrow....maybe find an old white one? F@#!%&N hornin!

Hey nontypical points are always good.
What part of the state are you at, can't quite tell from the picture of that drainage.

Put it this way...that snow capped mountain behind quad is the Idaho border......

where's Hebgen lake? There are some alpine lakes on the border but I can't remember their names?

You live in Superiour or St. Reg Oneguy? Thats some tough horn hunting country on a year like this, dang, critters could be livin on the border up there dang near.

Good Luck

over the hill in Thompson....steep,brushy....in a good year ya gotta work for your horns...was out again yesterday and I can't seem to find em....been hanging high lately hoping for early elk but nothing yet. Still a tad early but soon I hope????
