This picture was posted on a PA web site. It shows some sheds from PA elk along with a few small deer sheds.

Some nice looking bulls there! I have been trying to draw a tag for 2 years now. Long odds........but it would be nice to get a crack at one of these boys!

deerking is right, some of those are awsome...wish the pic was a little closer to some, but what beauties...thanks for sharing

Holy Hell!!! Look at the one on the far left!!!! I knew there was elk there but never imagined that there were any that big!

Our elk herd was transplanted with Rocky Mountain elk from Yellowstone back in the 1920s. They had been unhunted for teh past 60 years right up until 2 years ago so we have some real old bulls. We also tend to get lots of non typical racks for some reason.

I posted this one before, it was killed with a ML last November. A real nice bull!

You must have some good hay fields to bring in those bulls! It is hard as hell finding sheds in those thick forests, nice job! Thanks for posting there are some huge bulls, got any numbers (scores) on them?

If you guys back east want to see more elk in your neck of the woods, please support Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. They've played a big part in restoring and maintaining elk back east. Glad to see people finally enjoying elk back east. Makes me proud to be a member....

How 'bout some pics of these bones individually? They are some beasts! I think we'd all like a better look. There are a couple of bruiser sets and those non-typs look awesome?
What do ya say???

A bad day hunting is better than a Good Day at Work!!

Tell me how many fences keep those big ungulates where they are suppose to be? It would seem to me that elk would move around alot causing problems on alot of private property in a state like PA? Is there enough forest and cooperative land agreements to keep such an awesome herd in check? Those are some impressive sheds!! I suppose elk were native to the East before the White man moved in? Thanks for sharing the pics. HB

That's an amazing colection of sheds form some real monsters. I can't believe all the nontypical points. It's hard to imagine elk in hardwood forests, but they used to be there. It's good to know thay are doing well in that area.

That is some kind of collection something to be very proud of. There's a lot of bone laying there. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmmm.....I didn't realize the herds were doing THAT well over there. Wonder how come' I don't ever hear of anything about over there. Maybe it's because I'm on the complete opposite side of the states. Good fines though. Looks like they all fell off this year.

No, you aren't smelling game farm. There are some folks that are predicting the next World Record to come outta there someday!

Hey Iron buck, do you have a pic of that bull, live that has that insanely massive and super wide rack from PA? I saw it several years ago on some forum.

Beautiful horns!

IronBuck,
Sweet Pics of some great BONE!!! That country does look mighty tough to shed hunt in. Awesome job by the shed hunter. Can't wait to see more PA bulls in the future books. Awesome to hear that they are doing well enough to support a season.

If the left side was as big as the right side, this bull would have scored really good, but still any bull that is that big is worst taking home.
