It is really darn slow around here lately. I know it's picking up, but being stuck in N.E. Colorado where the shed hunting isn't as good as I grew up doing, I haven't done any at all. But I figured I'd post these. The set was hanging on a tree at my wife's uncle's farm just rotting away. So I asked if I could take em and asked if he knew where they were from. He is not a hunter at all and told me, "yeah I think my dad got those up in alaska." I'm sure you all had the same reaction as I did. (I'm saying this so I don't talk down on a member of the wife's family) But get out and find some bone and show us all. Good luck guys!

I'll call you if I can get get out next weekend buddy. Good luck!! And I scored the horns above and just matched the broken main beam and they scored 213. I'll get a better picture.

Dusty, I live in Elko and Archerybug is one of my shed hunting partners. I love Elko and the muleys and shed hunting here but to be stuck in Colorado is not a bad thing either. Colorado is home to the largest mule deer population and elk population in the world. Clorado at this time and in my opinion is the Monster Muley capital and I would think would be a great place to shed hunt. I realize that Colorado is probably the landowner capital of the West also. Is it tough to find shed hunting spots. NE Colorado is known for being an area that is strictly privately owned. Is this what makes it a bad shed hunting place? Anyway, Archerybug and I have some shed hunting trips planned so come on back whenever you can and join up with us. fatrooster.

Hornhog2, Those are some nice sheds man!!! Thank you for showing them to us. Fatrooster, yes the shed hunting around here is VERY tough because of the private land. I agree that Colorado is probably the best state for big bucks but I work 6 days a week and try to save my time off for hunting season. I know, I know, this is shed hunting season, but I would be kicking myself in the butt of I drew a darn good tag and don't have all the time that I want. I will hook up with you and art one of these short trips out there for sure. Hopefully this weekend, I can get at least an afternoon to go find popeye's horns out by jiggs eh? How did you guys do this weekend? Talk to ya soon buddy.
