Snowy Range Elk

I've been out the past two weekends scouting for elk in the Snowy Range(Area 9, 110) and I've seen more moose than anything. There are getting to be tons of moose up there. In two weekends of scouting I have seen 4 cow elk and no bulls. I have not seen that many tracks crossing the roads, it has been muddy and should be seeing fresh sign. I am thinking about changing areas, maybe to the western slope on the Snowies. Anyone else been seeing anything?

Here is a picture of some elk we scouted this weekend in the area. The bull was about 400 yards away and I did not want to get any closer as I did not want to disturb him in hopes he will be there next week when archery season opens. He was a 5x5 and already had some cows with him.
