LAST EDITED ON Sep-24-08 AT 10:30PM (MST)[p]I was just wondering if anyone has ever hunted snowcock in nevada. I went last weekend and seen a few but they jumped at 500 yards. Probably the hardest animal i have ever hunted.

You should be able to find a picture on the Nevada DOW web site.

Friends that hunted them told me the same. The way they got them was after they chased them the 1st day, They put someone where they went the next mornin, approached the birds and they flew right to the (blocker). Lots of work but a once in a lifetime deal for most. Mature males make a beautiful mount.
