I had a few decent bulls spotted for the last few weeks and then a snowboader hikes up the ridge and spooks the elk to who know's where. Has this happend to anybody else? Is there a chance the Elk may come back, they had been in the same canyon for over a month?

No, no snowboarder has ever scared anything I was after, but this one time I was riding a chair lift at Alta and the guy on the lift with me tried to get me to join some piramid scheme.

how did that work out for you????? J/k. I have heard from several different people that it's not a very safe thing to get into, have a good chance at loosin' everything you put into it. I wouldn't put my hard earned bucks into when I could be buying gear or FOOD!
