I live in the Denver area. Today I went out to rake a few leaves up and low and behold a water snake was crawling across the lawn. I was born and raised in Colorado and have never seen a snake in November. Scared me little bit as I was not expecting it. Going on a cow elk hunt in a couple of weeks kinda wondering what it will be like. There is no snow here I am going at this time.

do snakes eat elk??

You are lucky you didn't get bit like people in Denver are so prone to do. I bet there are more rattlesnake bites around Denver than Phoenix. Birkenstocks and earbuds.......

Bluehair
Splitting my time time between the winter and summer range......
May you live long enough to cash in those preference points. Amen

Homer: Yep snakes eat elk, but only the pink ones ! My round about point is that it is crazy year weather wise where I am going to hunt. It has been mid 50's and a little snow which has all melted. This is suppose to be an easy hunt....we will see! I AM OLD !! I will be armed for snakes .
