Does S&W make this gun in a 10 shot 22 magnum?
Any experiences from anybody with this gun?

A 617 is a 22.lr. Sometimes they are a 6 shot (old ones) and right now they are made in 9 shots. A .22 mag would be less shots....possibly 8.

I think that they make a .22 Mag DA pistol, but I don't know the model number.

Look at their website.

OK, I have more time to devote to this. I had to run to the kids game...it was ugly....14-0. He struck out, and so did just about everybody else. It went 4 innings and the 2nd or 3rd batter in order was the one that ended the game and he was batting his 2nd time.

The 617 is indeed made in 10 rounds....I didn't believe it. But Smith says so.

If you go to page #2, it shows the model 48, a .22 mag in 4 & 6 inch bbls...and it is blued. BTW, they are 6 rounders.

In the small "J" framer they also make a 351PD in .22 mag, w/a 1.875" bbl. It is made out of Scandium or Titanium...or something else. But, it isn't blued and it ain't stainless. BTW, it is a 7 shot.

You may want to look at...I can't hardly say it....Taurus. If you want a .22 mag in stainless. S&W just doesn't have a very good selection in .22 mag. You didn't say what you wanted it for, protection or hunting. Before everybody starts, .22 mag is on a par, ALMOST, w/5.7 that is supposed to be a real killer (which it isn't). It is a few hundred fps slower, but it still goes through things like crazy.

If you are going to hunt w/it. Then, I like 6" bbls and they only have a blued gun.

I have blued guns, but I only shoot them at the range. The only thing that I pack is made out of Stainless.
