Small game hunting in unit 38

Hey I’m new here! This year I bought my first shotgun and .22lr
I am looking forward to hunting this year. I’m starting off with cottontails.
Now my question is about unit 38.
Can I hunt hare with a .22lr in unit 38??? The info I found states that large game hunts are l
Restricted to short range weapons. Nothing that I can find states that about small game.
Can anybody help me out? I appreciate it.
