has there been any more press or even gossip and rumors about that johnson joker releasing the infected goats that were allowed to get into the silverbells in s. Az. and gave the bighorns pinkeye? read a couple articles but seems like it sorta just died. last i heard the g&f thought all the bighorns were dead there. maybe that johnson jackass has enough money to keep it outta the papers.

The sheep are alive and well for now. A few even sucessfully lambed this winter. The goats are almost entirely gone with a very small handfull wandering back and forth on the Tohono where I can not shoot them. They figured they might have lost 1/3 of the herd to disease and lions when the sheep were blind, thats why they cut the hunt this year all though a few good ones made it through. Whenever/if they re-open the unit next year whoever draws will have an awesome chance at a low to mid 170's type ram with a little work. As far as on the legal front I am not sure what is going on, I know the State Land Department, Game and Fish and BLM were all upset with Johnson and the ordeal but with the way the legal system works it could be years before anything is final/or actually happens.
