Silver Elk herd Q

can anybody tell me how are the elk herds doing in this unit

are they scattered or ?...any info would help thanx

Yes I used to rent some summer pasture down there, but I've never hunted it. I couldn't be much help but I can say it isn't a top producer.

Manny...don't waste your time. Quite possibly the worst elk hunting in the state.

#1 Poaching res rats are thick.
#2 The small numbers of elk you might see will be running 100MPH.
#3 Most likely if you are planning a late hunt most the elk will be on private property.
