I may never be able to hunt but my wife is ok and my surgery is in a few days. The clavicle us free of the torn ligaments.

On Stage 3 A/C seperation many younger people elect to have surgery. Some don't. Either way your out of action for a few weeks. My Dad had a grade three and didn't have surgery, but he isn't pulling bows, just golfing. Good luck.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-02-14 AT 11:25AM (MST)[p]I just had my AC joint ground down and cleaned up. All better now. Do it, good luck.

I elected to not get surgery, due to no health insurance. It took a long time and some change, but I can still bow hunt and play a little softball.
I'm also 36.
3 years later and it still flops around when I jog.
