Shot placement.

I've been searching for photos or drawings of animals showing the best shot placement at different angles for most humane kills. Can someone recommend good websites, books or videos to prepare for my first archery hunt next fall. Thanks.

Go to the Tips section of this site and there is an article about shot placement with pictures of deer at different angles and the best shot placement. For bow hunting I would only take brodside shots on large game.

Thanks for the reference. The last photo (D) shows a buck broadside slightly angled forward. The text explains that the green kill zone is for rifle only. Someone just looking at the photos without reading might think the shot is OK for archery. It makes sense that this is a risky shot for a bow - too much shoulder bone shielding the vitals.

Any other resources? Thanks.
