I shoot right handed because of serious arthritis in my left wrist, but am finding it difficult to focus on the target as my dominant(left) eye takes over. Any ideas???
Thanks,
When at the range practicing put a patch over your left eye. If you wear glasses go ahead and put a piece of scotch tape over the left lense to blur the view from that eye.
If you're shooting a compound with sights it doesn't matter. Have a string peep sight & a bow sight, you then will close your left eye anytime you're aiming at what you're shooting at. I'm the same as you & shot a bow for many years that way with good accuracy to any distance. I've since went to a longbow & now with no sights just instinctive have to have both eyes open while still shooting right handed. It takes great concentration & a good release to keep the arrows in center of target. But it can be done!
