Shoot thru mesh on Ameristep blinds

Has anyone shot thru there mesh windows and noticed any change in arrow flight/performence? I'll be hunting antelope in MT out of my Ameristep doghouse blind in august. I didn't want to ruin the mesh if it effects the flight at all.

Thanks, Ric

Great question , I've always wondered that myself. Sure wished someone who had experiance would respond....

I was also wondering the same thing. I had mine set up just the other day, I have the doghouse windows as well, but I didn't shoot through them yet. I think replacements are only around 25 bucks for the set at most, so I'll probably try it in a couple weeks when I set up the blind again.

I'd still like to hear from someone before I try it?

I have an Ameristep Penthouse Blind..... If your bow is paper tuned it will shoot through the mesh no problem...... Terry

I own an Ameristep Doghouse, but I have never shot through the mesh. I have shot through the mesh on a double-bull blind, however. It didn't seem to affect arrow flight out to 30 yards, but anything past that was suspect.

I have shot through my mesh blind on three different occasions. First time my arrow flew tru, last two times my arrow went off course. make sure your arrow was paper tuned as was stated earlier. I think that is my problem.

Closer is better. On my old deer lease we buit ground blinds out of plywood and left a square opening in the front about 24" square. Used thumbtacks and staples to try to get the netting as tight as possible. We shot countless hogs and deer out of these but most shots were 25 yards or less. Also shot deer at close range out of pop up blinds. No problems to speak of.
