ship fuel and bear spray?

I'm heading to Alaska in a few weeks for the first time. I know I can purchase an overpriced bear spray and fuel at the Hangar but was also told I could ship it as well. However, I am having a hard time finding a carrier that will ship it for me. Any ideas??

A lot of freight is shipped by air to Alaska. I believe bear spray is considered a hazardous material and can not be shipped by air. It must take the slow boat to get there.

When We Went To Alaska We Just took it(Bear Spray!) with us!

Only Problem We had was leaving Alaska & Some NEWBIE Trying to Shine His Badge found a Water Bottle in My Jacket Pocket & You'd a Thought I was a TERRORIST!

But with 3 of us & 3 Different credit cards we took care of that!

avgas in Bakersfield, Ca right now is $5.25.......fairbanks is $5.57.....I can't imagine trying to ship a usable amount...with the logistics....

I think you're right, Homer. We'll probably just buy them again up there.

I don't know if it's law or not but most bush plane pilots won't let the bear spray inside the plane and it must be carried outside the plane. There was an instance of a can going off inside a plane and causing it to crash.
