When do the sheep herders usually take their herds off the mountain in the Wasatch unit around Strawberry?

Not until after the early rifle bull hunt. Not sure exactly when but there were still thousands of them up there during the hunt.

Well, unfortunately I guess that's just one more variable I'm going to have to deal with.

I would not worry about the sheep. I have seen minimal impact from the sheep and elk interaction. This weekend I had several good bulls within a hundred yards of lots of cows as well. I would worry more about the 2 legged critters on your hunt the the four legged ones.

Last year it was the second weekend of the archey hunt they had the sheep staged at the top of Mud Creek Canyon. There were thousands of the little "Explicit".

It sure made all the elk that were in that area the week prior move far away!
