Man was it hot today, but I couldn't complain, I was mainly walking streams doing spawning surveys...but, every once in a while I have to cross over a ridge to get to another little creek...and low and behold!

This was my attempt at greatness. I think Tony could have made this into a beautiful picture!

Awesome find, is that one side of a bull elk, or a winter kill and a set of moose hornes, or both !!!!!!!!! I'd go back after it greens up a bit and re shoot it in a couple different angles and get the grass ouf the frame and you'll have a weiner!

Were you able to pack the bones out or do you have to go back, cause if you took them out while OTJ the feds, or your employer would own them?

I've never been told that Tony! I pack them all out! They are public land, no parks or anything like that. If I had to leave them, i'd certainly head back on my personal time!

I"ll get a bigger version of that pick up, it is better.

And that is a great set of moose horns, about 3 years old, right at B&C minimum and a little 6 point bull horn. I found all three of those horns in a 40 yard radius! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
