That is some collection for sure! I especially like that bottom set. Tall and wide with a lot of character!!! Thanks for the post!!

Very nice Ben! I sure hope the big typical comes back again for you this year. I can't imagine what he must look like with another year on him.

I agree NvrEnuf,

I hope he comes back so I can pick up a big shed finally!!! This was kinda a slow year for big 'uns, but I guess I can't complain, I got matching moose paddles..
Nice pics Ben, I'm getting the itch already!!(the horn hunting itch, that is)

If he or the HB buck comes back, I will be thrilled!

Tanner,

I'm Ronnie's brother, in case you were not aware. He told me about the trip he had with you. Sounds like you guys had a great time. I told him that we should get together with you and your brother and do a trip next year. It would be brothers vs. brothers to see who can score the most in one day.

Ronnie,

Goal for next year...190 set of better for you!!! If you need expert guide services, just let me know. (I will see if Shawn is available to guide us) :)

Those are sure some nice sets, and thanks for the post - its been a while since there has been anything new on here

Ben,
Ronnie has told me all about you. That day when you found 35 sheds in one day....man that's almost legend status. Anyway, sounds like a great plan!!! I've never really hit any place that hold the amound and quality of deer sheds that you guys do. Here we are about 95% elk and 5% deer, but some of those deer antlers put a lot of elk to shame!!! Have you picked up sets to these deer in the past??
Tanner

I found 3 years of the buck in the 3rd picture (Heavy 4 point and webbed in back) and I found one side to the 8x8 non-typical. I have found 2 years worth of sets from several mid 180 class bucks. It is getting tougher each year with all the competition, but I have still done fairly well. I had a 33 shed day this year, but probably just averaged 15 per day otherwise. When I first started shed hunting about 17 years ago, my friend and I found 56 elk sheds in one day and had to quit looking because our packs were too full. Those days are gone now, but I still enjoy getting out just as much.

Where do you get those skulls to mount the antlers? I have a lot of sheds I'd like to mount.

Thanks, Jerry

You can buy the plastic ones at tru-fit taxidermy supplies on Redwood road in SLC, UT. If you want, cast skulls they a bit more realistic and more $$, you can call Dirk at 801-985-1738

I ordered mine on-line from Mckenzie Taxidery, or you can call the number Yelum posted.

Yelum,

Good to see a post from you, it has been a while!
