so i know there was some talk on a shed season but never heard what ended up happing with it, So whats the deal? Dates? Permit? anyone know?

The entire state of Utah is open to the gathering of shed antlers.
But if you plan on venturing out to do this between now and April 15th, you MUST first obtain your shed antler gathering permit, free of charge on the DWR website AFTER taking and passing an online educational course which takes about 30 minutes tops.

I hope I get turned in alot this spring so I can show off my "permit". You can bet I'll be writing down every license plate number I see and refering them to the DWR so they can burn up their budget tracking down shed poachers.
By the way, I went out this morning and checked a small group of bucks. Out of around 24, none have dropped yet. Don't worry, I kept my distance and checked with my 20X binoculars, and they never new I was there. I'll check them once a week until most of them are dropped. Then I'll go in and pick them up (on foot).

I'd say about 1/4 of the bucks I've been watching have dropped at this point... Just fyi
