LAST EDITED ON May-21-08 AT 08:02PM (MST)[p]I have been on a few good shed trips this year. Pinenut, Founder and I had a good weekend last week. Each of us picked up some good sheds. This was the first shed I picked up. An 84 inch smoker.

I looked for the other side and missed it by 100 yards. Pinenut is a stud for finding it and giving it to me. We were hoping it would be bigger, but it ended up being broke :( The G4 broke about 6 inches up. I may have to use IDBugler's method for fixing the point.

Notice in this photo that Pinenut found a freak looking 2pt. That thing has a 27 4/8 beam! Founder also found some dandies, one of those has a huge base and bladed eye guard.

A few more from a different trip

I had the match to this shed from a previous year. A good friend of mine found this shed and left it. He called me and told me where to find it. This isn't the first time he has done that. I am pretty grateful for good friends.

Here is a cool set. It took me a few hours to match him up. In the end, it was worth it.

I got a phone call from Pinenut a couple weeks ago. He asked if I wanted to go shed hunting for a couple days. Here is my best find from that trip. Maybe we can talk Pinenuts into posting a couple pics :)

Thanks for posting your pics and congrats on the great finds. I love the side by side photo the best. Dandy sheds. Yep, nothing beats great friends willing to sacrifice.

Welcome back Gentry. I'm ready to look, when yoiu're ready to post.

Looks like you have had some good success this year. Congrats on finding some good ones.

So why does Ryan have a pile in front of him? haha He is a shed magnet, earns every one.

Great job Brandon. Looks like you found a few keepers this year for sure! Bring them to the AntlerFest so we can check them out in person. :)

See you in a couple of weeks.

Brandon,

Nice horns dude, looks like you had some good fortune. Pretty soon your boys will be showing you where to look. Awesome pictures.

Mike,

Brandon has kicked my butt both times we have gone out together! 20 minutes after beginning our hike for elk antlers last month he finds that 330 inch 7x6 set (about 100 yards above me). Not even 10 minutes after leaving the truck last weekend he finds that 84 inch deer antler, again about 100 yards to my left.

Brian and Brandon actually found most of the antlers in that pile, I guess I just happened to sit in front of them for the pic. I was happy I was able to match up Brandon's set and give it to him...the best way possible to say "thanks" when someone takes you to somewhere new.

He does find sheds. Its pretty time consuming keeping him into finding sheds and not looking for tennis balls. My kids play ball with him and I throw sheds. Before we go I make sure he gets the tennis ball itch out and so he is interested in finding sheds. Another thing I do with him is make him stay on one side of the house, and hide a shed on the other. Then tell him to go find it. Its a good game and works really well.

Ryan,
Yeah, I let Brandon pick-up the antlers also. hahaha :) I like to give Brandon a little ribbing from time to time. Nothing better than a Spring hike with friends, looking for a piece of bone on the ground. Looks like you guys had a great time and I hope your wives checked you for ticks.

Mike,

That day was to funny! Your a good man too. Nothing like cresting a hill where you know a fresh brown is and seeing a friend on the other side with that "oh chit" look on their face. (I had the look). Good times for sure.

Ticks were pretty bad. RyMAN had a couple on him but brushed them off. I haven't found any on me but once you know they are out, its never the same.. I get the creepy crawlys.
