Shed Hunting for Browtine & I (Video)

thats awsome, Where did you get the dog, or did you train it yourself? congrats

It was given to Doyle Moss I think and then Brandon ended up with it. It's supposed to be a highly trained shed hunting machine. Maybe Brandon can tell you where the dog was trained.
Tanner (the dog) did find one antler on his own. I don't think Brandon has had him out enough....he's only had him a few months.
You know, any hunting dog needs lots of work to learn and remain sharp.
I wish I could have taken my old lab, but he's down with a broken leg and old.

brian....your 'shed huntin' buddy' definitely needs a new 'lucky hat'...he can't be 'out done' by you...tell him, it's 'on it's way'...

lf,

Man, I wore out the hat you sent me. I should take a pic and attach it. I would seriously buy another hat. That was my favorite hat and it brought me the best luck this year (you know why).

The dog is Doyles. I am fortunate enough to keep him. He was trained by http://antlerdogs.com and is a very, very good dog. He has also picked up two elk sheds (Several more that I spotted first) this year. It really takes alot of time to work with him but its pretty worth it if you shed hunt alot. I know a couple of guys on this site that use them and would swear by them as well. (I will let them say if they want to talk about dogs)

That was a pretty fun trip amigo. I am ready to go again.

Sweet! Good job on the late season sheds guys. Just one question for you though and I want you to be honest! Are you sure you were only out hiking for 2 hours? Brandon sure was sweating profusely for only being out such a short time... :)

That's cool your dog is getting the hang of it and bringing back some antlers Brandon!

Hey NvrEnuf - have you been out in the world lately? It's hot and these sweaty fellas are working the tails off trying to inspire people on this website to do likewise. It is hot - we'll see.
