Shed hunting Binos

I am just looking for input on what kind of binoculars you guys use for shed hunting. I bought a pair of HD Steiner Peregrine 8x42's to replace my 8x30 Nikons a few years ago and they have revolutionized my shed hunting success. I literally found enough antlers with them to make them worth it in 2 years. It seems like every trip I find an antler or 2 with them that I wouldn't have found without them.
So, I am looking to add a pair of 10x's, 12x's or 15x's for when I'm hunting big country and to add a little magnification. Does anyone have any thoughts? I am mostly looking for input on magnification power, what do you like and why. I am open to brand recommendations as well regarding comfort/ease of use, but I understand the "get what you pay for" principle (as in, Swaro 8x42's would outperform Bushnell 15x56's and HD glass is way better than standard glass, etc.)

LAST EDITED ON Mar-31-16 AT 08:45PM (MST)[p]I use the nikon monarchs (12x42's) they are an excellent bino for around $300.00. If I could afford better, I would buy better. However, with my current budget, I am more than happy with the quality and magnification these binos offer. I especially like the lighter weight of the 12x42's. I have been lugging around a pair of 12x50's for 12 years and finally made the switch to the smaller version. Every pound counts on a back pack trip and these bios helped out a lot!

LAST EDITED ON Apr-02-16 AT 01:56PM (MST)[p]Keep in mind if you are using them for hunting too as power goes up and if diameter is same you are loosing light. Shouldn't be a big deal for sheds, but for hunting can be a difference maker in low light situations. To get the most our eyes can take in you need to keep the exit pupil/magnification at or above 5 or you'll loose light at dusk and dawn.
If you can afford the higher end glass it will make a bigger difference than jumping up in magnification.

I wear some old Nikon 10x50s that work well, I can cover a large area with them and get plenty of light early and late in the day...
