Been watching some bulls for the past couple years in the same area, and this mild winter has them about 2k feet higher than the last years... Hows everybody else's areas looking?

My normal deer spots are empty. Most of the deer I have seen are scattered everywhere and high. It's going to be a tough year I think for the shed hunter. Great year for the animals though, maybe we'll see some population recovery...

Not getting the weather that would help the shed hunter. I think i will be picking up sheds as i make stalks (up high and low where they are during the summer and fall months) on the big muleys here in nevada. Had 1 good storm that pushed them down but melted off in a week and they were all back on top. They might be pushed down after they shed.

Yeah, its been really mild here in CO. Maybe it will discourage alot of the weak willed fellas.... Good luck guys, cant wait to see your pics!

Yeah i agree all the bucks we've been watching have been up high but there are a few small one hanging down low, just means we are gonna have to hike just a little bit further.

Still got a bit before the elk start dropping. Alot could change between now and then.Hope it doesn't change too much too fast. Personally, I hope they are a little higher. I love that high elevation elk country even if it means longer hikes.

I've noticed the deer are scattered all over. Bucks high, low and in all of the in between thickets. It could be an awesome year for those who put in the work. But who knows, maybe we'll get more snow soon, and it'll push the animals down to their normal wintering grounds..
