Shed finds and matches

It's been a slow and frustrating shed season but I thought I'd post some pics. As many of you can tell by some of my other post', I don't do a lot of hiking. But I do love to get out and with the help of a few friends we were able to round up a few sheds. After watching a few bucks during the winter months I started out with a trip to WY with SneakAttack. He had to use all his muscle to pull this bad boy out of the snow. It is a great shed scoring 89 inches. I had this bucks last years set mounted and showed it in another post. Five weekends later and no luck matching it up. In the process my friends and I have matched up a few others and found some great singles.

Over a two weekend period my friends BucksNducks and Randy matched up this buck.

Over this day and the next one we found 15 sheds, which included 3 sets. This first picture was the longest spot of my life, over a 1000 yards. There is no substitute for good optics.

These are the sets so far and the weekend total.

That weekend my buddy also picked up a set from a buck that we had found the previous years sheds also.

And finally, I got my wife to go and she spotted this set out the truck window as we drove up a road. Her first shed find.

WOW! what great pics and sheds. There are some serious brutes in that pile. I like the monster 89 inch buck..Good luck matching him up. No doubt good optics are a must...Impressive spot on that long distance shed as well. Thanks for sharing.

I wish I found more deer antler. those are some great looking finds!!!!!!!!

It funny you should post today because yesterday while in the mountains my friend and I were talking about what would happen if we were in a wreck and could not get around like we now do. We both agreed that we would be so depressed we wouldnt try veyr hard to find sheds anymore. Well as I can obviously see, there is no such thing as surrender. You are truely an inspiration!

Great sheds Larry! I asked Shawn about a week ago if you had found the other side. He said no luck. Looks like you all found some good ones in the mean time. Get in touch with Shawn and have him give you my e-mail address. I'll send you a picture of a 4 point set I picked up that scores right near 200.

Traks, Funny you should say that. Nearly 22 years ago I was with a buddy in the mountains and was injured in an accident. It took me about 10 years to figure out that the hills and the wildlife are my inspiration. Its good to get away from the hustle and hectic city life and get a peace of mind once in a while.

Glad you all enjoyed the pics. Some of them are too small to see the sheds so I took DK's advise and used photobucket and here are a few of them bigger. I hope it worked. I can't see the pics from my work computer.
