shed dogs

So I purchased two chocolate labs this past Monday and would like to turn them into shed dogs. I have read multiple threads on peoples dogs and would like some best practices on training. I some sheds that they have as chew toys now and will be working with them as they get older. Let me know what has worked and what doesn't. Thanks.

Stealth, you mentioned above that you've read multiple posts on this subject so I don't want to sound like a broken record and repeat myself. Do you have any specific questions? fatrooster.

This is the first time that I have actually set forth to train a dog. I guess my questions would be around when should they be showing interest, is it best to reward them each time the find the shed/return it, how long should it take, what point do you take them into the woods, etc. Any thing you might think is helpful, it probably will be. I am open for suggestions....Thanks.
