Sharptails

I have never hunted sharptails before and wanted to give it a try next week when I go sage grouse hunting. Where would be a good general place to go in the upper snake river valley?(Idaho) Are the numbers pretty decent or is it hard to get them? Any pointers would be appreciated.

There are some areas near Ashton Reservoir.
Call the FG office in Idaho Falls.
Also lots of places near: Preston, Montpeilier

We got into some below snowville on the utah side, dont know if that really helps. Take a BIG running dog.

Four of us hunted near Montpelier yesterday and limited out, they were still flying, we just had to watch them go. We also shot a Ruffed Grouse out of the same grain field.

I've never shot a Ruffed out of a group of Sharpy's before.
