I have a friend that has drawn two Roosevelt tags , but that was early on before a lot of people knew about that share program.

When I lived in CA I would throw a couple of dollars at it. Now the odds are stupid.

Years ago I drew a SHARE permit for an Aleutian goose hunt. It was good for two days. Now I hunt the ranch next to it for free.

No luck this year, I did draw two years ago but had to drop the tag due to my dog having a cancer operation and my truck in shop getting transmission replaced.

I don't even put in. Nor do my kids. We see these elk year round. They're like cattle.

My daughter is the bookkeeper for one of the big dairy ranches here that has tons of elk on it. I've seen herds of 50+ branch antlered bulls laying in those fields. I've also seen guys hiding behind their pickup in KUIU camo waiting for the bull they want to clear the cows...

Nada here on the draws as well. I always say I’m not going to put in, then I do because someone has to draw those tags and you can’t if you don’t put in.

I’ve never drawn a share hunt despite applying for 15-20 of those hunts each year. BUT, I have a friend whose family has drawn 3 share tags in recent years and killed 3 bulls. All Rosie’s.
