Setting up a bow

Does anyone know of a good site that gives some information on how to set up a bow. I have a Primos 2004 STL, new whisker biscuit and spot hogg real deal site. I'm brand new to all of this and don't know much about archery, although its seems like it would be pretty simple. Would I be better off going to a pro shop?

I would say go to a pro shop and let them help you set up your bow. They have the equipment and the know how. I tried setting up my first bow but I could never get it to shoot very well. After a while I gave in and took it to a pro shop and they tuned it with a laser. It shoots great now. Sounds like you've got too sweet of a setup to not have it shooting like it can. So I say do yourself a favor and let a pro set it up.

PSE has a forum from their homepage as well. Very knowledgable people there.

I think the initial setup of a bow is fairly simple with some inexpensive tools, but then it comes down to shooting it through paper or group tuning it, so I don't know if a pro-shop is neccesary if you have a good INDOOR range. If you do go to a pro shop, ask them if they offer classes in field maintenace and tuning. That way if you bump something out of whack while hunting, you can fix it.

bow specific tools required:
centershot gauge
nock pilers (if using a nock point and not a loop
bow square
string separator
serving tool

This list of tools and some allen wrenches and cone wrenches should be about all you need unless you need to do some real work on a bow (like replacing strings, cables, cams, and limbs or synchronizing cams (two cams and hybrid cam bows)).
