September Antelope Question

We're planning an archery elk/deer hunt for about September 5 to 15 in NE Montana. We'll be pretty close to alot of public land and we were wondering how we'd make out if we added archery antelope tags. Never hunted them with a bow before. Heard that decoys and/or water holes would be the ticket. Are decoys productive that time of year, or is that too late?

Thanks for any input,

Edpre

I think you would be ok with decoys then. I get'em to decoy in Wyoming in late September.

I've hunted antelope with a bow for many years, and I also like to photograph them and my opinion for what its worth is you are bit early to hit the best action. I best time to decoy happens after Sept. 20th in most places like Wyoming, Montana, Idaho etc.

But they are fun to hunt and you would have a blast if you like bowhunting.
