My buddy and I are Idahos natives and he would like to put in for a california bighorn sheep hunt this year. Any nice guy's on here that might point us in the right direction? We WILL do this tag justice if he can draw. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kicker

You might as well ask for next weeks winning Loto #'s too

LAST EDITED ON Apr-10-07 AT 04:27PM (MST)[p]Does anyone know the winning lotto numbers for next week as well?

Dr. Deadred, the desert areas in idaho that hold sheep are relatively small and it's not a monumental secret where the sheep are. Just wanted a little advice from my buddies in Idaho. Not CA!

Nevermind, my buddies, i got the info i needed from a F&G biologist.

Damn i love this site!

If your a non resident you have about 1% chance of drawing. It will cost you $141.50 for a license. It may be worth it if you hunt over the counter deer or elk. Last year over 1,700 non res applicants and 6 non res drew. Good luck.

We are residents and i know most of this state like the back of my hand. Yet i do not know those desert canyons that house the ca bighorns.

Just needed a little help, but i did get a great deal of help from the F&G biologist.

Thanks anyway,

Kicker

Paul,

Shoot me an e-mail...I know of a few areas where the Cali bighorns hang out... :)

Kicker,

Never hurts to be optimistic. Besides, better in my book to be finding information before you ever put in for a tag than after it is drawn. Nothing pisses people on this site off more than coming on here and saying "I drew this tag and have no idea where to go" so don't worry about the ribbing. There is no winning here. I like to do my research before I put in too even if I know I have a snowball's chance in hell of drawing.

And if you do get those lotto numbers, pass 'em my way.

Kicker, You have it made, since your a resident. You still need to be lucky, however you have a chance at at least 90% of the tags and little expense. Good luck
