Season Dates?

We drew our elk tags!!! One member of our group is concerned with putting in his dates for vacation. When do they release the actual season dates? All I could find for him was sometime in April. Thanks

They should be up before the end of the month. Last year the Rules & Regulations were posted on 4/27. Start looking on the G&F website in a couple weeks by highlighting "HUNTING" and then clicking on "Rules & Regulations". Right now if you do that you will see the 2011 dates. The dates probably won't be any different for elk this year because so far it's just the deer and antelope seasons that they are purposing to shorten in some areas due to the bad winter a year ago.
