I'm going down to the SE at the end of October for a week and was just wondering what to expect as far as pressure and quality of hunt?

Not looking for a place to hunt or anything like that I enjoy figuring that out for myself but would like to know how many people are going to be there with me. Im especially interested in 66, 66A,67,76.

Thanks.

I have hunted in an around 76 among other SE units for 7 out of the last 8 years. There are people everywhere! I tried to stick with it because I know there are good genetics their and I was not lucky in any controlled hunts. But in that time I was only able to harvest 1 good buck (28in 170range) and only saw one more that was close to that in 7 years. Luckly I got drawn for Colorado this year so no SE for me. I love the country and think with a better management (from both ID fish and game and with the herds on the WY side) it could come back and be really good again.
As far as what to expect there, lots of hunters, roads everywhere, lots of does, some small bucks and very few mature bucks. There are a few nice ones around, but like most general tag areas they are very hard to find.

I hunt 67. Generally south and east of Pine Creek Pass. I live in 65.

The more people I meet the more I like my dogs
