My 14 year old brother has recently taken an interest in hunting... we went on a bear hunt in WY this spring and he toughed it out for 5 days without seeing a bear. The only one he saw was the sow I took at different site my first evening...
The outfitter was great and even offered to take my brother and stepdad out for bear again this fall, but I've heard fall bear hunts can be even more of a challenge. I'd like him to have some success and they've toyed around with the idea of a guided deer hunt in SE Idaho.
My stepdad really isn't one to take time to scout and find animals, so that's why they'd be looking for a guide. They live in Idaho Falls and I'm sure they wouldn't mind driving a little ways to hunt.
Can you guys recommend a good outfitter in that area? I know it may be a little late, but maybe they've had some clients back out. I looked at Bear Paw Outfitters and Rafter C, but neither have returned calls or emails (which probably isn't the best sign about the quality of their outfit). Any suggestions would be great!
