SD turkey, antelope and deer opportunities

I had posted some of these hunts last year and met a great group of hunters though the site. Thank you all for the quality conversations over the last year.

There are several opportunities here. I have included some pics. I can be more specific if you PM me.

On an 8k acre ranch in Jackson County there is an opening for two turkey hunters. Possibility of two birds of you have 2 SD PP. $500/guy with a cabin to stay in. Hunters went 3/4 last year and missed the 4th bird.

If any NR has 4 or more antelope PP or a resident can draw Jackson there is a huntable population on the ranch. $1000 includes cabin.

This same ranch needs 2-3 archery hunters. Whitetails and mule deer on the river and mule deer on the prairie. Existing stands and agriculture. $2900/guy for 7 days late October/1st week of November is best. Would consider an early September guy if interested in velvet mule deer/evening hunts for WTs on the river. Cabin/UTV included. Rifle guys went 3/3. Bow guys got sick and went home early. Rifle hunts spoken for in 2021.

In Gregory County I have 600 acres that is limited to 2 archery hunters. Lodging close by. A couple existing stands. 2 Hunters saw 40-50 deer/day. Both had shooting. One great 8 point taken. $1750 for any 6 days.

Hughes County, SD. The rancher I hunt with in Gregory County has a friend looking for two bow guys on his Hughes County ground (East River). MD and WT present. 1500 acres. Breaks coming off the river. He wants $2k for a 6 day hunt.

The only opportunity from above that is still available is a spot for two archery hunters to be the only ones on a 600 acre lease in Gregory County SD. High deer numbers. The pic below was killed off the lease last year. A couple ladders stands already hung and you can bring a stand or blind with you. Both hunters last year saw 40-50 deer/day. First guy got shooting, second guy harvested the attached pic. $1750/guy includes lodging this year. Would recommend late October/first 5 days of November.

Any pictures of the pronghorn? We have 3 points and are looking on cashing in the next couple years.

We have never harvested one off the ranch. I saw two nice bucks in 2019 and last years hunters saw quite a few. The herds come on and off the ranch. The rancher leases the grazing rights and has good access to thousands of acres north of the ranch. I believe there may only be one Jackson County tag a year to NRs at this point.

This makes the ranch 3 for 3 with hunters fulfilling their hunt for Merriam’s. For anyone that has interest in a very reasonably priced hunt for a Merriam’s Turkey in South Dakota please PM me. One point will guarantee a tag for a NR. Two points and you will have a 50% chance at a second tag.

Hello everybody, I thought I would throw this out for a late season last minute opportunity.

December archery hunt on a ranch in Jackson County, SD that most of the deer hang in the two miles of White River bottom. 40 acres of winter wheat just coming into its prime.

The harvest this year was a 150” whitetail and a mature 3x3 mule deer. Additional mule deer and WT pics from the ranch posted above.

$1500 for access and lodging in a cabin on the property. $1000 kill fee.
