Well I'm headed up for my first official scouting trip of the year! I'm pretty pumped to say the least. I will be packing back for a short Tuesday and Wednesday trip with my hunting partner. Hope to see some good bucks!

Hope your trip is a good one! Please bring us fellow G hunters back a good report and some great pics!!

Liecabucks, That tall racked buck that you have been posting is really a great smoker buck! Are you going back to the same general area and do you realistically believe that there's a decent chance of topping that buck?

Great buck what did he score would like to see a frontal pick of him. Hope to give one a dirt nap also this year.

Well I finally got back late Wednesday from the Greys. We packed in on Tuesday and got camp setup by about 4 and headed up the drainage to glass. We didn't see a lot in the line of good bucks on Tuesday and mostly all of the bucks were still beaded very late. On wednesday we went in the same general direction and seen a total of 18 bucks, about 12 of those were 4 points but most were dinks. I didn't see anything that made my blood flow to be honest and the biggest was a 27 in 4 point. Most of the bucks didn't look fully developed in their G-2s but not far off either. I think we will check out another drainage next time. I keep thinking we should be seing at least one (good) buck when we go in.

I did take some picks of the scenery but I will have to upload them tomorrow sometime. Man it sure is pretty up there!!

I believe wacmaster wanted to see a frontal of my 07 buck so here is one..... I havn't officially had him scored( your welcome to shoot me down on this one) but gross measurements that i have done put him in the low 190's. keep in mind his main beams are over 26 inches and 14 or so inches of trash... far right buck

Nice buck's my favorite is far left as eastman would say look at those tang's on that buck awesome pic's you deffintly have some great trophies.

Ha ha Mike would say that huh. Well I didn't kill that one or the other two for that matter.....they where 50's and 60's bucks taken by my grandpa in Utah. I have a whole slew of bucks in this caliber from him, I just picked a few that weren't mounted and had them done. Its gonna be straight up hill following that man but I have One good start!

Ya i wish i was born about 20 year's earlier with the equipment i have now to say the least it would be interesting. I also have a region g tag this year haven't hunted that unit for a while hope to smoke a good one like your's though.

I have been finding alot of litter all over those tops you posted. Veinna sausage, freeze dried dinners, candy wappers, makes me want to puke.

Arrowhead, not sure where you are going with that but when I was up there tuesday and wednesday I didn't see any vienna sausages or freeze dried dinners.......I hate freeze dried dinners and sausages anyway so I know they weren't mine but I did see some candy wrappers so I simply bent over and picked them up.....it was that simple.

All Iam saying is a that i hate seening/finding garbage on the mountain. I live at the base of one the creek drainages you hunt. I find garbage everywhere. Where do this people come from?

I'm not so sure.....I don't see people in the places I hunt very often, you know they are out of the way as much as anybody. Being a non-resident I'm not in there nearly as much as i would like to be so I can't keep an eye on what everybody else does. But I do know it is a shame! I was hunting little elk creek last year and I couldn't believe the trash up around powder peek and Garden canyon. Have you laid eyes on any toads in the "AREA" this year?

Sorry wacmaster.... I will be going after him, and the bigger one that I saw next month with my bow. I think he will hit 180" when he is done growing and the other one is pushing 190", hope to get one on the ground, then I can tell you for sure what they score.

Can't blame a guy for tryin maybe i'll see you there. Good luck he's a nice framed buck hope you give em a dirt nap.
