Ya see Guys!

I'm behind the times!

I've been packin the same Rifle since about 1978!

Made a few Decent & some Lucky Shots with it for what now is considered a Short Range Rifle!

Been Considering a few different options on Scopes!

A Couple Questions:

Can the New HUSKEMAW 5-30 X 56 be dialed in beyond 1,000 Yards?

How many Revolutions can you wind it up?

I know some of the Nightforce Scopes will wind up a couple revolutions but how many?

I wanna Shoot up to 2,500-3,000 Yards!

Haven't been able to find much info on this?

Anybody know?

I'm sure this is some sorta joke to get a rise out of people but just incase your serious......
It's not so much how many turns a scope has as to how much elevation adjustment it has. A nxs nightforce 5.5x22x56 has 100 moa elevation adjustment. It has 20 moa per turn. 5 total turns of adjustment. More then likely you will not have 5 turns tho unless you put a canted base on your rifle to get you near the bottom of your scopes adjustment. A 20 moa base generally works well, an for me it gets me within about 1 turn up from bottom.
Not sure why your wanting to fine tune your cannon to a precision shooter? The muzzle blast alone has been known to kill out to 600 yards..

Seriously LRB!

If I'm gonna shoot up to 3,000 Yards I'll need more than one Full Turn/Rev!

So dry_boot?

You say the HUSKEMAW 5-30 will go way past 1,100?

How far past?

Thanks Guys!

And No!

Doesn't look like Santa Brought me one!

You'll get out far enough to piss most these folks off with your yardage you can blast. With your 375 RUM with 300 grainers going 2760 fps you have 64 inches of drop at 500 yards ( but I'm sure you already knew that). 3000 yards will be tough but when there lead in the air there's hope. Merry Xmas it's rip an tear time!

Here's the Deal!

LRB!

That's why I need a Scope with lots of Revs!

Still unsure on the HUSKEMAW?

Ya See!

So LRB?

The Nightforce has 100 MOA/5 Revs of Elevation Adjustment?

I Don't have any Info on my 375 RUM out past 1,000 Yards?

With My 375 RUM with 300 Grain Bullets do you know how many Revs I'll need to Dial it in at 2,500 Yards?

Elkassassin,

Let's just say with the new huskemaw, 1,000 yards will be considered short range. :) you'll be killing grasshoppers before they are even born.

That's what I'm Trying to say booty!

My Gear is Out-Dated!

I'm behind the Times!

Do You know Boot?

How much MOA adjustment the HUSKEMAW 5-30X56 has?

Long range shooting isn't new. I use one of these.

Didn't say it was New!

Said:I want Up-Dates!

What I considered Yesterday a Long Shot Has become a Short Range Shot today!

So NVB?

Let me Guess?

You're Good out to 500-600 Yards?

[font color="redhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMsueOnu0kY

Easily. But I don't mention the yardage in my kill stories. *taboo*

I don't make the soup,I just stir it.

30 MOA per revolution. Should get you out to 2,500-3,000 yards pretty easy.

If you can't get that close you're not a hunter.

Hey boot?

On the HUSKEMA they are claiming 12 MOA?

Where you seeing 30?

Just trying to find out for sure?

Thanks!

Elky. Me playing a little with a 300 grain Berger (assuming your gonna reload for your cannon) and your gonna shoot a modest 2775 fps. You will have to turn your turret to 94.7 MOA to shoot 2300 yards. So like stated earlier, if you use a regular base you will lose some elevation adjustment and you won't have the 100 MOA to play with, but there's ALWAYS the trick of putting the animal your shooting at in the bottom of the scope when you run outta adjustment. I did that 3 years ago on a nice trophy bull elk. He was about 3450 yards. Couldn't hit him, but could get bullet impacts close enough to make him run. LOL

3450 Yards!

GOOD GAWD!

That's far enough to make Most MM'ers Weep!:D

At least you were getting Close!

So?

On a Serious Note?

The HUSKEMAW with a lil ole PISSCUTTER Adjustment of only 30 MOA(As boot claims!)ain't gonna do the Job and it will Require a Nightforce with 100 MOA for me to shoot the distance I wanna shoot?

[font color="redhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMsueOnu0kY

Just sight in your zero @ 3,500 yards. That should get you out to 4,500+ before you top out and if they are closer just aim low ;)

Judas Elkass, pay attention. It's 30 MOA per revolution!! It will go around a few times before it tops out.
You could sit in Altamont and give my 4 wheeler a tune up as it is sitting in my elk camp. :)

So boot?

I understand,30 MOA per Rev!

How many Revs can you Crank it?

Thanks!

So about 3-1/3 REVS?

How many REVS/MOA you got on you 5-20 boot?

>I was joking about the 3450 yard shot. Just enjoying the humor being thrown around at blasting long range and want to add to it. Good thing about shooting way far is you don't need someone spotting for you. You got lots of time to pull the trigger an get over on your spotting scope to see your bullet impact. Nothing like 8 seconds of bullet flight time. Lol

I might even get a couple shots off before I watch for the first Impact!:D
